Can we bring more active commentary into a mundane, passive engagement between a lamp and the light it provides?
Perhaps turning the light on and off could be likened to the sensation of waking up and going back to sleep. In this way, we bring the presence of the lamp forward. We make it known.
With the heat from the light, the bimetallic strip bends and transforms, creating a performative movement of the strips rising and falling like waves.
